Mission Heal People’s Organization: taking care of people with poor health

People's Organization

Health is a fundamental and essential aspect of the body, and in India, people are very health-conscious. They take care of their health by exercising, consuming a good diet, and undergoing proper medical assessments. However, underprivileged individuals struggle to obtain adequate health facilities as they are not capable of meeting their basic needs, such as food, health, resources, and more, to take care of their health. Today, we will explore how the Mission Heal People’s organization is improving the health of underprivileged individuals.

What is People’s Organization?

Mission Heal is a non-profit NGO in India that serves people with both heart and body, taking care of their every small issue such as hunger, education, health, and more. It is a People’s Organization established to provide welfare for people and support them physically and mentally.

The purpose behind its establishment was to create a society where individuals have access to resources and opportunities, with health being the most important among them. We, as an organization, prioritize this issue the most, as it holds more value than any other basic need.

Why does health play a major factor in conquering dreams of life?

Health plays a crucial role in achieving our life’s goals. It directly affects our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. A healthy body and mind enable us to concentrate on our objectives, maintain the energy required to work towards them, and effectively cope with challenges.

When we prioritize our health, we are more likely to stay motivated, make better decisions, and enjoy the journey towards our dreams. In essence, good health serves as the foundation that supports our ability to conquer life’s aspirations.

Why do people in slums lack good health?

People living in slums face numerous challenges that contribute to poor health. These include inadequate access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and proper waste disposal.

These factors increase the spread of diseases. Limited space and overcrowding can also increase the risk of infection. Additionally, slum dwellers may have limited access to healthcare services, nutrition, and education about health and hygiene.

Lack of employment opportunities and financial constraints can further exacerbate these issues, making it difficult for people in slums to maintain good health. Socioeconomic factors such as stress, violence, and a lack of safety also contribute to the overall health issues faced by those living in slums.

Diseases that can happen due to a lack of healthcare?

Access to adequate healthcare is essential for preventing and managing various diseases and health complications. These may include malnutrition, infections, maternal and infant mortality, and chronic conditions that worsen due to insufficient or untimely medical intervention.

Ensuring access to healthcare is crucial for promoting overall well-being and reducing health disparities.

Poor health statistics in India

According to a report published in The Lancet, India has the worst situation among the 136 countries studied. Every year, approximately 2.4 million Indians die due to treatable conditions. Shockingly, poor quality care is the leading cause of death in India, surpassing the number of deaths due to lack of access to healthcare, which is estimated at 1.6 million.

According to a large-scale survey conducted in 2019, almost 61 percent of Indian women and close to 47 percent of Indian men were found to be unhealthy based on their diet and lifestyle. For over two decades, heart disease has been one of the leading causes of death in India, along with an increasing incidence of cancer and diabetes.

Mission Heal People’s Organization saving lives through various activities.

  • Mission Heal People’s Organization is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underprivileged communities. One of our primary goals is to combat hunger, which is vital for maintaining good health. Proper nutrition accounts for 90% of overall health, with exercise and other factors making up the remaining 10%. To achieve this, we distribute nutritious meals to those living in slums, providing nourishment for both their bodies and souls.
  • Our organization also provides healthcare services, including free check-ups and medicines, to underprivileged communities living in slums. Regular health camps are held to ensure that people receive the care they need.
  • We conduct awareness camps to educate people about the dangers of HIV and AIDS. Which are life-threatening diseases that currently have no cure. Our goal is to spread awareness about how to take precautions to prevent the spread of these diseases.
  • In addition to physical health, we also focus on mental and emotional well-being. Our organization promotes fitness through various activities and awareness campaigns to emphasize the importance of exercise for good health.

Conclusion

Good health can be your lifelong companion if you take care of it properly. It is the only thing that will support you throughout your life, until your last breath. Our organization strives to create a world where everyone understands the true meaning of health and how important it is. We also provide basic necessities such as healthcare, food, and education to prepare individuals so that they can live a long and healthy life.
